  1. call in an exterminator

  2. First thing is eliminate their food source.  Sorry, but that means clean everywhere and seal food up so they can't get to it.

Great site for getting rid of all kinds of stuff.

I have a brick house & brick houses here have weeping holes to get rid of moisture.  I ended up putting bay leafs in each of the weeping holes & putting ant block granuels across the door thresholds.  Haven't seen any ants in 3 months.

As for the roaches, maybe the web site can help.  I haven't had that problem.

  3. Someone posted a recipe for sugar/borax ant baits that works well.

    1/4 cup sugar

    2 tablespoons borax

    3/4 cup hot water

Stir everything together until the sugar and Borax dissolve, then dip pieces of bread crust in the solution and leave where you see the ants.

Borax might work against cockroaches too. If not, diatomaceous earth does, and will not harm your dogs. In fact, sometimes it's added to animal feed to control parasites.

    Good luck!
