What is a good, lyrical dance song?

I am a dancer, looking for a solo song for next year. I needs to be lyrical, and most importantly, NOT POPULAR AT ALL. I do not want anything that is normally on the radio. Thanks.

  1. It all depends on the general feel that you're going for. You could try any/all of the following:

Tori Amos (some of her lesser known songs, anyway)

    Yanni (if you like piano)

    Enigma

    Deep Forest

    Adiemus

    VAST

Kate Bush; This Woman's Work is her only one I know but it's a great song nonetheless

Anything on the Pure Moods collection (I know it might sound cheesey but I tell ya- there's some great music on those)

There's a lot of good, mellow Celtic music out there, too

    Good luck!

  2. Colorblind by counting crows

    speeding carsby imogen heap

hide and seek by imogen heap (someone already said that but it's a really good one)
