  9. Melatonin. It's all natural so you can take it with any other meds you might be prescribed with no risk of dependency. :)

  10.   Kava kava, but dont take with alcohol. Melatonin, is good but get time release or you will wake up at 3:30 and not go back to sleep.

    Benadryl, or generic, is not natural, but it works. Causes dry mouth , which can be aggravating, and sometimes a morning hangover. Take 1 hr before going to bed. Not 4 long term use.

  17. There are quite a few choices.   The most basic is Benadryl, the antihistamine.  It makes you drowsy and relaxed and is the ingredient in a lot of over the counter sleep remedies.

    Valerian, hops, chamomile, passion flower, etc, are all herbs that relax and can be found in combinations in health food stores.

    Melatonin in very low doses helps some people.  So does tryptophan, which you can't buy anymore, it is in turkey and some other foods.
