What is a good, reputable "extras" casting company for tv/film

I'm looking for some extras work in tv/film, but not sure which casting companies are worth looking into and which are a waste of time.

It depends where you live..

      Usually, you can just send in a couple pictures and ask to be in the agency. Extras usually don't need experience. So, it's not much of a waste of time even if you never get any jobs.

If you are an adult:

The most widely used is Central Casting http://www.centralcasting.org/LA/actors/...

There's also Cenex, Bill Dance Casting, Sandi Alessi and a host of small individual places but Central is THE place to go for the majority of background casting.  Go to that website and follow the instructions.  You do have to pay to sign up with them but that's the way it works.  If you follow the rules you will get work.
