What is a good 50 fly time for...?

Question

a 13 year old who has only done summer swim team for 8 years?

ive done a summer swim team for 8 years and i practice 4 times a week for an hour but only 2 months a year.

my time now is 35. is that good for someone who swims 2 months a year?

and ive NEVER done swim lessons, winter swimming or anything else.

well, im 12 and i kno a couple of people on my team

who r really really good (we're like the best team in the county) who do a 33 in fly, but they swim year round,

so, i think that a 35 for you and if you only swim in the summer is good!

Truthfully, Its ok. About adverage. But very good for someone whos never winter swam before. Wiinter would imporve your time durastically.

I would say it is quite good, especially considering how little you have to practice in a year's time. If you really enjoy swimming, I would suggest joining a year round team. I think you will be able to reach some great potentials!

it depends if it is meters or yards. but 2 months a year only 4 hours a week isn't that much. either seems pretty good for a 13 year-old. :)

ya that is a really good time, but if you start to swim year round you should get better.

I'm a 13 year old girl and my time is like 40 seconds (but I never swim 50 fly in meets)

Thats okay. I mean at your age you could do better even if you are practicing not that much. I am fourteen and onlly do season and I get a 29.

That's very good in my book with me being 12 and on the summer swim team for only two years but i swim whenever i can especially in the winter.

that's at best, decent. i'm 13, and i've only been doing summer swimming for 3 years (6 months total), and mine's like a 32-33 seconds, but i'm extremely coordinated and a really quick learner. plus, i do other sports, too. however, some other guys on my team are a lot slower than u, so ur time is decent. good job.

hey nikki, nice, ur about the same as mine. one of my friends swims year round and his time is a 26, he's one of best in state and he kills me.
