Just learned how to ride. Less than 4 hours of experience over the last 15 years.

I'm 6 feet 2 inches. I weight 213 pounds.

I do not want a crotch rocket.

  2. not a ducati...lol. just buy a cheap bike and ride more and get used to it. ducatis are the lamborghinis of motorcycles. crazy power, really expensive if something happens, and just to buy it. so just buy something else to start with.

  3. Great bikes, my all time favorite bike is the 996.  That said you may wish to start out on a cheaper "learner" bike.  Ducs have desmonic valves and are maintenance nightmares but if you are willing to deal with that look at the little monster.  If they were not so hard to work on or if they did not require service nearly as often I would have a Duc, god do I lust after those bikes.

  4. Best go with rice to start, the cheaper the better
