I started Golf in July and went to a par 36 nine holes. My golf handicap is 14. Is that good for starting a couple months ago?

P.S.- I am not asking how other people can do better.

  1. 14 is VERY good considering you started playing less then two months ago.

The question is, are you calculating your handicap accurately considering you've been playing less then 2 months?

No mulligans?   You take strokes when you hit out of bounds?

There are a lot of things that come into play when it comes to your handicap so you want to make sure you're calculating it accurately.

  2. Yes. A good handicap is zero of course. But just starting golf a couple of months ago...14 is pretty good. Actually...it's not amazing...but it's great.

  3. Indeed, you are a very good golfer - considering that you just started golf in July and achieved a handicap of 14 for a par 36 nine holes. Generally, a single handicap of 1 to 9 is a good handicap for a round of Par 72, 18 holes. But, of course handicap of 1 is the best for a armature golfer. Handicap of Zero is the professional golfer.

Hope my answer is meeting your requirement.
