Our wedding colors will be Lavender, Creme, and either Chocolate, or Mocha. Haven't decided which one yet. I think we'll have the wedding in the afternoon, probably around 1ish or 2ish. I was just wandering if anyone had any great ideas for a wedding theme to go with our colors.

Sorry, just in a silly mood!  I think lavender, creme and chocolate sound lovely, you could do alot with that colour scheme.  Good luck for your big day! x

  2. honestly, I cant think of any themes that correspond with those colors. Talk to your finace and try to think about what kinds of things you enjoy doing together and go from there. Also, look at wedding catalogues for favors and invites and see if any of those things appeal to you. You really dont have to have a theme like "fairy tale" or "beach" or whatever. Your theme could be the name of your first dance song. Or since its fall it could be "Fall In Love" (see rexcraft.com for Fall in Love napkins) You could use pears in your centerpieces or favors and your theme could be "The Perfect Pair" You can get these sayings printed on ribbon, napkins, matchbooks, etc. For inspiration check out rexcraft.com and exclusively weddings

  3. The best theme is "A Wedding".

If you could find some like paisley ribbons with brown lavender and creme, you could run with that idea... for like the chairs and the favors =D

I also like the glam one, but that's just my personality =D And vintage.

But I'm a singer, so I do a lot of weddings, and I haven't seen a lot of people use paisley.

Congrats on the wedding though! The colors will look really nice all together.

  6. Some weddings go all out with a theme, but usually only if the married couple are obsessed with something.  Let your colors be your theme and try to find a style that you like.  Colors like lavender, creme, and chocolate sound like rich, luxurious colors to me.  Maybe you could use that idea for your theme.  Luxury, or Pampering your guests. Rich soaps with lavender buds tied onto them as a gift  Rich chocolate cake, or creamy rich vanilla icing. Creamy thick satin.

Honestly, I just got married a couple weeks ago, and the whole theme thing i overrated and over commercialized.  You will be much happier if you try to pick out things that both of you like than you will be if you have to fit everything into an artificial theme.  Your colors are great.  Relax and have fun with it, and make a beautiful wedding!
