What is a good age to start driving?

i am almost of age to get my permit. In your opinion what do you think is a good age for people to start driving.

its different for different people, i guess it depends on how comfortable you are with driving? i started when i was 16

back in the 50's and 60's 16 was OK because there was much less traffic. less distractions. here we are in  2008

I'd say 25 years old. just too many cars on the road too many distractions.

15. im already driving around and im 13.

im really good too.

i dont really think there should be a limit.

not trying to sound stupid.

but once you pass your test at whatever age

you should be able to drive.

Whenever they feel ready, i could start at 16, im now 19 and just going to get it, i didnt want to drive at 16, and never really needed to, i walked everywhere, but now, i need to get my license.

15 is a good age because you get that year with someone in the car with you... theres no point in being 18 then driving your not MORE responcible or able to learn just because your older. experience is the key... not age Good luck! practice makes perfect!

In this country they start at 16 I believe or was it 18? Been so long. (USA), well I personally feel its 21-22, when you are a bit more mature. Thats why insurance companies have such high levies on insuarance on 16-20 year old drivers, thats when you feel the most invincible causing the most speeding tickets or crashes. Some of them might never let you drive or do anything else again.

I personally think that 18-20 would be a better age, then to start and getting your G-1 when you are 16. I think it's too young, and that kids are still to immature and too distracted to be on the road. with their music cranked up to where they can't hear a single thing, or constantly talking and not paying attention

i drove a boat when i was 11 i did just fine but who knows what coulda happened i think if you want to practice you should start at 15

almost all of my friends have their permits and they are 15 but they have to drive with their parents. my sister is 16 and she has a car but you shouldn't do any driving unless you feel comfortable in a car. i think a good age would be 16-18 years old.
