  1. If the goal is to reach Olympic and World competition, it's best that a skater starts very young, usually around 3-5.  Basic skating does not take a long time to learn.  Getting through double, triple and maybe quad jumps is what takes a lot of time.  Some things cannot necessarily be taught and only take time and practice to accomplish such as making very difficult jumps look easy.  A lot of time, money, practice and effort goes into making a skater, the kind you see on TV, the "whole package."

  2. 5

  3. 3, 4,5, or 6

  4. (55 DUH) NOW IM AN OLYMPIAN. FOR THE GOLF CHANNEL! HOPE I HELPED =D

  5. well its best if you start young like 6 7 or 8. those are the best. butim 13 my dream is the olympics and i think i can do it. but doesnt matter what age jus tdo what u love

  6. Around 4.

It's the perfect age because you're still young, but you're old enough to know what you're doing.

  7. 3-5. If you are old enough to type, you are probably already too old, sorry!

but, you are never too old to start figure skating for fun and exercise, and even competition on a lesser scale.
