Question:

What is a good alternative to fizzy wine?

Hi all,

I LOVE fizzy dry wine, white or particularly rose. It's not the alcohol, it's the crisp very fizzy dryness I like.

I have a problem with my stomach and alcohol makes it much worse but I find most fizzy drinks too sweet and sugary.

Can anyone suggest a fizzy drink that's not very sweet and very fizzy please? I've tried Schloer and Ame but I just don't like them.

Thank you

  1. appletiser and peartiser. its just pure juice with lots of fizz x x

  2. Some of the flavoured sparkling waters aren't too sweet, or you could try a low alcohol perry. my favourite is plain sparkling mineral water with a splash of lime juice and loads of ice cubes.

  3. There are a couple of non alcoholic fizzy type "wines" on the market. You just have to look for them.

Because my son doesn't drink at all, ever, we got a look alike "champagne" for his wedding. It was actually fairly good. Purchased at WalMart.

But I cannot remember what brands were available.

  4. I love to mix Club soda with juice, you can control the sweetness that way.

  5. Any diet cola, especially the clear ones.

  6. west coast cooler it is an alcoholic spritzer but its very light

  7. it may be the fizz in the wine that is causing the problem, have you tried a still wine or it could be the alchohol that is causing the problem failing that try tonic with angostura bitters this is a refreshing drink!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. j20 its nice

  9. Make one! Here's a good cocktail site which has a lot of non-alcoholic fizzies. http://www.lovecocktails.com/Non-Alcohol...

Make mine a Horses *** please, if that doesn't sound impertinent.

  10. Appletiser

  11. get tall glass 1/4 fill with cranberry juice top up with fizzy water and a squeeze of fresh lime

  12. Have you tried ordonary Schloer or the Bucks Fix version? I fully recommend the Bucks Fix version over the normal version. You can pick it up from 99p saver.
