  1. I'd suggest a Garmin 260W.  It's easy to use and doesn't include a lot of frills, but it does have some nice features for navigation: a larger, easier-to-read screen and a text-to-speech feature that reads the names of the streets you're looking for instead of just saying "turn left here".

  2. if you want a basic system without the voice recognition, mp3 player, bluetooth etc... get a garmin nuvi 200.

garmins are the best in my opinion. you can read more and look at customers' reviews here

by the way that model got 4.5 out of 5 stars

  4. KaeZoo is right The 260W will get you from A to B but without all of the other stuff. I really like the 4.3 inch widescreen on that unit bnut it you can go without it then I would recommend the Garmin 260. It has the exact same features as the 260w but it has a 3.5 inch screen verus a 4.3. Now Tom Tom's are not that bad but the menus are kinda hard to use. It takes some getting use to but they are a lil bit more difficult to get use to. I personally have a Garmin and I love it. But if you wanna know the best one for you, I recommend going to a Circuit City and having the guys in the Roadshop teach you about them. They are not on commision and they are more likely to help you vs try and make a sell. If you need any help or have any questions about these guy then let me know wowboy05@yahoo.com Good Luck
