  1. 3 set of 10 push ups situps running up the stairs back extensions jump rope and a good strech.

  2. this might sound weird but i dance. i dance on the stairs doing weird things. jump rope to music. stretch into the splits and it also helps flexibilty which helps gain muscle then you can feel better after your workouts. yes it sounds weird but believe me its a good workout and fun!

  3. I do a class at my gym called boot camp which I think could be easily applied to 'in house' with a few changed.

You said you had stairs but I wouldn't recommend running up and down them just in case you fall or something when you start to get tired & and injure yourself.

Anyway, we usually work in intervals of one to two minutes doing a particular exercise then switch to intervals of 20 repetitions.

Example.. skipping for a minute.. then get down on the floor for a minute and do push ups, getup and do star jumps for a minute etc.

You rotate the exercises so you have to keep getting up and down.

For example, Pushups, starjumps, situps, skipping, leg raises, lunges, (if possible in your house jogging from one wall to another and back) etc.

Anyway, you do a combination of these exercises for a period of time.. eg 1-2 minutes, then move on to the next exercise. Once we got to the end, we switched the minute intervals to just repetitions of 20-30 before moving to the next exercise, but repeated this series of exercises 5-10 times.

This took about 45 minutes and by the end we were all sweating real nice ;)
