Never stayed at either of these, but I only hear good things

-Base backpackers - they even have girl only levels/rooms.  They are in NZ and Aust.

-Sleep In - this is a good central location, easy to get buses and trains to and from, and relatively new.

-YHA Railway Square - newer than all of them, and as a YHA very stringent on cleanliness
