No male entertainment (as I am a male and will be in attendance). The party is this weekend (August 30). I am not familiar with the area, but if a "VIP" room and a dance floor are available...that would help.

  1. Most of the clubs in Naperville are restaurants and geared to big groups.  You won't really find a dance club just bars.  The bars are ok though.  Jimmy's and the Lantern are quite popular and crowded.

  2. You're not going to find it in Naperville.  There are lots of club in the City that have dance floor, loud music, etc.  If you want to get into the VIP rooms, get ready to pay.  They are generally reserved for celebs, very good regulars, old farts with lots of cash, and the "cool kids" that celebs/rich old farts generally want to be around.  If you're not one of the above, a crisp $100 will usually get you in the door, but don't forget to take care of the bartender and/or waitress.

If you don't want to worry about getting back home, get a hotel room for the night and have concierge get you some recommendations for clubs.  If you want to ensure admittance, some clubs offer table reservations (next best thing to VIP).

  3. Frankie's Blue Room is a swing/blues/jazz bar that's awesome.

You also may want to check out Bar Louie, although there is no dancing.

I'd make the trip up to Schaumburg to the Bamboo Room, or Alumni Club.

There is also a 3 story place in Elgin (although I forgot the name of it)

  4. go to -  http://chicago.metromix.com

you can look up all the bars, clubs & restaurants in the area. have fun!
