A cool place to go is the Ice Lounge - It's minus 10 degrees inside, so you have a couple of bevvies to warm you up. It's a different way to start your evening out.

Depends what sort of bar you're after I suppose.

Charlie's Bar (also known as the Mill) is on Hardware Lane, and is underground with little booths and curtains and some big communal tables. Good music and the bar staff really know their cocktails.

Otherwise The Supper Club is always good on Spring Street, but can be pricey.

For a bit of fun, try Maddam Brussels. It's set up a bit like a 1930s tennis club, with mod grass on the ground, outdoor lounge settings, and people dress up a bit for it. Grab a pimms and lemonade and cupcake while you're there!
