  1. wow i am sorry i got to stay up as late as i wanted starting at age 8 until school started again then it was 10:00

  2. Summer is my time i stay till 4 AM playing game snacking  and O ya being the security of the house lol

  3. Wow. when i was 13, in the summer i go to bed around 3 or 4 AM. Personally, i don't think summer is any fun if you don't stay up late.

  4. I was able too stay up as late as I wanted at that age.  But as long as I was in the house.  If you are out with friends then you should be home by at least nine thirty.  I'm seventeen.

  5. ive never had a bed time and can stay up as late as i wanted as long as i wasn't disturbing my parents, even on school nights. I'm 14 also and you shouldn't be going to bed at 10:00. ask your parents for a later bedtime and use excuses like "mom, dad its summer c'mon" or something like "noone else is going to bed this early" or simply just go behind there back and stay up, your only 14 once! =]

  6. oh geeze that sucks for you. i think u  should be able to go to bed when u want its the SUMMER!! im 13 and i go to bed at like 3 or 5am.

the summer is a chance to do the things that u cant during the school year.

  7. I think 10 is a fine bedtime, not only because that's when I went to bed at 14 but also because that's what your parents say. I am now 17 and I am generally in bed by midnight or 1 AM, and if you obey them now they'll be more lenient later (hint hint).

  8. I think at least 11

I'm 15 and I can go to bed whenever i want and it was the same last year

  9. for me its about 12:00 or 1:00

but tomorrow i got soccer at 9 so I'm going to bed early

  10. the most resonable timeis of 10 o clock

  11. try to negotiate with them and tell them you want to at least be able to stay up until 10:30 if not 11:00

if they still say no then don't say a word don't argue, do all your chores, but give them the silent treatment

trust me they will be so sad that you won't say a word to them they probably will give in

  12. 12

  13. yeah i think they should.

  14. like 12

  15. well that sucks. i'm 15, and i go to bed whenever i want.. usually around 3 am? or sometimes i just pull allnighters haha

but really, 11 isnt unreasonable at all.

  16. wow that's early when I was that age I could go to bed when ever I wanted unless I needed to get up in the morning and even then I could stay up until 11. my lil brother is 14 and he can stay up as long as he wants to.

  17. Ask them for 10:30 so you can get what you want 10 o clock. parents usually go down from the number what you really want, So start high and ask them for 10:30 or 11:00 and you'll probably get 10.

  18. my son is 11 and he goes to bed at 10pm, hmmmm at 14 you should be in bed at 11 or 11:30 at the lastest

  19. You should be allowed to go to bed in the summer whatever time you like but your parents should also wake you early every morning.. Your body will quickly tell you when it is bedtime.

  20. 11:00

  21. They shouldn't give you a bed time, as long as it is reasonable and you arn't  bothering them and you don't have to wake up very early. But I think 11:00 is fine.

  22. It depends on what time you get up in the morning.  If you have to get up early for something, then I'm sure they have a reason for making you go to bed at 10.  However, if you never do anything in the morning and get up later, I think it would be reasonable to go to bed at 11.  Maybe you should talk to them and tell them that you're getting older so you would like a little more freedom.

  23. i'm 14 and i go to bed wen ever i want in the summer becuz like my mom said wat the point if you don't stay up late and sry your parents must be really strict!!

  24. ten is a little early, but why would you want to stay up to late and mess up how you feel the next day

  25. I agree with you. 10pm does sound a bit too early for a 14 year old to be going to bed during the summer holidays. An extra hour sounds fair enough. Find out what time your friends are going to bed - and if they're allowed to stay up later than you then try talking to your parents about it. As you get older the time you are allowed to stay up should increase. The average person only needs about 8 hrs of sleep a night. :-)

  26. I typically think that the bedtime for kids during the summer should be one hour after their normal bedtime. So in your example, it works the way I would have done it.

  27. I could go to bed whenever I wanted to when I was 14 unless I had something the next day that i had to go to. Do you go to camp or something else during the day? Just talk to them.

  28. NO u should be allowed to stay up to 11

  29. im sorry, but for the kids on here suggesting you stay up til 2, 3, 4 or even  5am??  cmon.  seriously, what can you do at those hour that you cant do during a normal night??  firstly, it snot like youre staying up late to go to the bars that close at 2.  second, in my opinion as a relatively cool 25 year old mom to a 10 month old, theres nothing positive that youre going to be doing at those crazy hours of the night.  sounds like youd probably just be getting yourself into trouble.  unless theres a special occassion (ie-birthday, sleepover, concert etc.) theres really no reason fo ryou to go to bed past 11.  sure, ill give you that 10 is a little early.  but later than 11 and i think youre just looking for trouble

  30. I agree with you. I had lights-out at 10:00 all the way through high school on school nights but weekends and summertime it was 11 until I was 16, then it was 12. Of course, I was generally just listening to CDs or reading in my room so it wasn't anything that could possibly disturb them when they had to get up for work in the morning. Maybe if you let them know what you would like to do in that extra hour they would consider extending your bedtime. Good luck!
