  1. Our eleven year old goes to sleep at 9pm sunday thru thursday, and 10pm  friday and saturday. That way she can have enough hours sleep for junior high, and feel teen-ish for weekends. She's had this sleep schedule since she went into fifth grade. We asked her, going into junior high, if she wanted different hours. She told us no because she'd get too tired into the school day.

  2. My 11 year old is in bed at 8:30 on school nights lights off at 9 , but on the weekends and summer........depends on the day/night

  3. i think  its at lease 10:00

please pick me forbest answer im just started yesterday

  4. I would say 8.30-9 on a school night, Studies show you need to be well rested and have a good breakfast to start your day and when your well rested and have eaten a good breakfast you retain alot more information as your mind isnt wondering cause your tired or hungry. And when your tired and hungry you get irritable, and no one wants that.

If your child goes to bed at a decent hour then they can wake up and have a good morning routine where they arent rushing and can enjoy their breakfast.

  5. Like 10 on school days. My parents used to make me go to bed at 10 but I was allowed to read a book until 10:30. So yeah that's a good way to encourage reading & it makes them tired. :)

  6. You're child should be in bed by eight thirty during school term. But during the summer it could be raised to ten. Also your kid is getting closer to puberty so it's good that it's this early so that they'll keep a healthy mind and be rested. Some moms put the kids to bed too late in the night. I have heard of kids giving their parents grief over sleep time and they shouldn't . This may put you and your husband against each other if you don't come together as one with this time of night thing. The kid will use time when he wants his/herway. So eight thirty is the best time in my opinion.

  7. they need 8 1/2 to 9 hours of sleep let's just say that

  8. I'd say about 9 o'clock, maybe even 9:30 at the latest.

  9. Let her pick a time for herslef, if it's too late her fault and she will learn to go to sleep earlier

  10. My parent were strict with me and my brother, and made us be in bed by 9. I always ended up just lying there for an hour just thinking away, so maybe it was good for me to wind down.

  11. I would set a time where they have to go in their room like 9pm but tell them they can go to sleep whenever they want they just have to stay in their room.  NO T.V. though, if they have one in there.  That way they feel in control and like the other answerer said they have a chance to read or possibly write in a journal.  I remember being this age and I'd read for a while but I'd get tired after about 20 minutes.  I would pass out fast.  Healthy sleeping patterns are very important but a pre-teen needs to learn to make healthy choices for themselves.

  12. 9:30

  13. wenever u want to in summer but in skool

    930
