What is a good begining dirt bike AMERICAN MADE for a 13 year old who is 5 feet 6 inch.?

When I say AMERICAN MADE I mean American Brand. But the only one I Have heard of is Polaris but I heard that is no good. Please tell me a good American Brand dirt bike. No Honda or Yamaha.

on top of that american made bikes are usually of very bad quality.

there's nothing wrong with the dirtbikes out today made by honda yamaha kawasaki or suzuki, sure they are j*p but no reason to be racist, they perform very well and are very reliable, never owned a ktm but ive heard they are very good

ok i have bad news for u. there r no american brand dirtbikes all there is is mosly j*p and euro but there is nothing rong with those bikes they r better than a americian one would be

There are no American made dirt bikes. Polaris makes ATV's and street bikes but not dirt bikes.

Why not Honda or Yamaha? They are good Japanese brands and would be good for a beginner. Kawasaki and Suzuki are also good. For a beginner your size I say get a used Honda XR100 in decent shape to start and practice.

sorry dude, dirtbikes are only made in japan (china too, but their bikes are c**p) and europe.  all the common dirtbike brands (honda, kawasaki, suzuki, yamaha...) are made in japan.  the others (ktm and husqvarna) are made somewhere in europe.

Hey, you left out Suzuki and Kawasaki.  Kidding.  No American brands out there.  KTM is Austrian I think.  Not Japanese like the other major brands.  There are a couple other Euro brands but finding parts for them will prove to be a major hassle.  And, if you're a beginner, that bike will be on it's side more than once meaning you will need to replace parts on a regular basis.  I have almost enough spare parts for my bike to build a new one.  If you want a quality ride you should rethink what you're looking for.  Go with the major 5 manufacturers and you will get a good bike with easy-to-find parts
