drumming has always something i want to do but never got to do it. now i still live with my parents and they will NOT let me get an acoustic drum kit which is a bummer but an electric one will do. now i dont have much to spend, and not much space. i just need an electric drum kit that is of a reasonable quality and a reasonable price. i am welcome any type of answer so feel free to give an advice you can =D

  1. Rolands are the best, and if I could I'd buy a $6000 Roland TD20. Most of us don't have that kind of cash for an electronic drum set. So there's the entry level Roland TD3($1000). If that's too much then you can pick up an Alesis DM5 Pro ($600). You will have to read the manual, tweek the set, but it will work for you. If you want to use double pedals then you will have to buy a Roland KD8 trigger pad for $115.

No matter what electronic set you decide to buy, you'll probably have to buy a drum pedal and throne (drum chair). Expect to pay another $100 for those two items, more or less depending on what kind you buy.

Since you're starting out buy used from someone you trust, or buy online from a place that won't charge you shipping, tax and allow you to return it in 30 days if it's not for you.

    Good luck!

  2. i suggest you buy the roland or the yamaha one. The sound's adjustable so you'll be able to lower the volume depending on what your parents allow you to. and the drum kit's quite small so even if you dont have enough space it would be okay.
