  1. Get one thing they need (diapers, *cup*, bowl(s)...), and one thing they don't. Make it fun. You can go to the dollar store and spend $5 on five things, and call it a day.

Little kids don't need expensive presents. They're gonna forget about them in a few days or weeks anyway. lol. Make it fun. Ball, purse, bag, hat, things they can play pretend with, board books, kaleidascope...

You don't have to go to the Dollar Store either. You could find stuff at Family Dollar, or the Dollar section at Target.

Don't waste your money on something more than a couple dollars, $10 if you really feel the need to spend your money. And, make it fun!

  2. anything that teaches... There are colorful cloth dolls you can buy that have zippers, buttons and such on them...

Also, any large puzzles.  Teaches them their small motor skills.

    Imagination is unlimited!

  3. i gave m friends little sister a barbie and a baby doll and she loved it and it is now like the only thing she plays with

  4. Walkers or those bouncers or ride ons

    stuffed animals

  5. My daughter for her 1st birthday got a playhouse, a play kitchen step 2. Clothes, piggy bank, purse, dora cell phone, baby ipod (fake) plays music only, money. Cushion chair that folds out to a bed (really cool)

  6. I like giving gift certificates for photography session, like The Picture People.  They get a free photos for their bday, no sitting fee, they can use your gift to order framed photos.

Also, a piggy bank with starter bucks in it.

    have fun!

  7. Oh there are lots of things! But remember the most important thing is to not get anything to loud and annoying, and not to small, they still love to put things in the mouth at this age. I would say something creative that helps her learn as well, like bath toys that do not have small parts, there are some that are washable Colors they use on the wall in the bath tub and they come right off! Or maybe a good old fashion Teddy bear, care bear, or Stuffed Pony. If she has a big brother or sister, maybe something that the older sibling will not take to much interest in so that he/she doesn't steal it and cause issues. Baby dolls are always good but make sure they dont have any small bottles or things that come wth them either. There is this stuffed multicolored Dog at Walmart, it teaches the parts of the body like nose, ears, tummy... it is not very loud and it is educational with no small parts to it! My kids loved it when they were 1 and 2.  It does both spanish and English, I would go with that. its about 20 dollars but it is worth the smiles!!!!

  8. http://www.toysrus.com/shop/index.jsp?ca... this shows toys for her age and up. Toys that encourage walking like a push and ride or thinking like building blocks and interactive books, Lil people toy sets are really fun for little ones and help imaginative play too. My kids love all this stuff. Have fun shopping~

  9. Books, a walker toy that becomes a ride on toy or a baby doll.

  10. dolls, stuffed animas, blankets, pillows, cute stuff for her room, toys

  11. The Fisher-Price Bounce & Spin Zebra. It is awsome, my daughter played on it for hours

  12. Don't laugh...I'm being honest:  A BALL.

A bouncy kind of ball, about 12" diameter.

The one I got our daughter had letters of the alphabet on it, and that's how she learned to identify the ABC's.

Otherwise, you can't go wrong with books.

There are also some nice soft blocks (100 ct) you can buy in a big bag at toys r us for $20.  They are fantastic.  They don't make a bunch of noise when they fall, and our daughter can throw them and they won't do any harm.

  13. A Mrs. Potato Head. My neice loves her's

  14. a baby doll, uhh, stuffed animal, stuff like that
