What is a good book for a freshman in high school to read?

I want to know what a good book for a freshman boy to read. He likes sports but the book doesnt have to do anything with sports, it just has to be entertaining. Thank you

I read the book Twisted by Laurie Halse Anderson.

That was an amazing book and my boyfriend was the one who got me to read it. Weird, I know.

Anyway, check it out, almost every guy that has red this book LOVED it. HaHa.

It was one of my summer reading books for my LA class. :)

I would recommend "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky. It's a very good book about a freshman boy who makes it through his first year in high school. I would also recommend "I Can't Tell You" by Hilary Frank. This one is about a freshman in college that stops talking after he has said something to lose his best friend. And of course, there is always "The Catcher in the Rye."

The moves make the man, it's about basketball and baseball.  To Kill A Mockingbird and The Outsiders are good reads too.  I had to read these and they're very good.
