I'm going to get a laptop and install windows on it. I here Acer isn't so good, and I know that Dell's been around for a long time so I assume it's good. Can any one give me some advice?

  1. Sony, Toshiba or Dell.

    I'd recommend.

  2. personaly i like HP ive had my HP for a while still runs like new and i always get updates which help keep it up to date.

  3. Go with HP. I had a Dell for awhile and it worked okay but didn't really pan out. I bought a new HP DV9000 and it's great aside from a few minor tech issues but nothing serious. HP's weren't always that great from the beginning but they have turned out some really nice laptops recently. If you hit their site, you can see reviews for all their laptops. most are pretty honest but a lot of them are good reviews too.

  4. Get a Macbook and partiotion part of the drive to use windows. Its very easy / Apple support will help you. Then you get the best of both worlds!!

  5. Well, depending on what you're using it for, there are equally good ones for different uses. Dell is more of a good laptop for school/work, and apple is good for more of an entertainment use.

  6. have an hp and works great, dell is an other good one. toshiba may be good but don't get it (or sony) with all the c**p they put on it. I'm not a big fan of vista and prefer xp so i'd make sure it can be formatted and all the driver's are available for whatever OS you plan to put on it. My buddy that is a genius at computer and web programming says to get a new mac. he has the best laptop and it is sweet and is suppose to be the best for graphic design and stuff as well. but i'll stick with windows. it's all about what you need it for but i stick with my first two suggestions. good luck

  7. Dell is the best or you should try toshiba

  8. vista! thats what i am on right now!

  9. I have no problem with Acer, but I prefer HP. They have good deals for decent rates. As for Macs, I agree with baseballplayer. They're overpriced junk shoved into a computer shaped box!

  10. lol lily raey said vista vista is an operating system i would go for dell or alienware or a macbook

  11. I am sure you will get a ton of people telling you Macbook, but unless you want to buy overpriced laptops I would go with Asus. It is a great company and they do not overcharge for parts like Dell and Apple. They are fairly unknown but check them out. http://asus.com  Ask any questions at Baseballplyer40@yahoo.com
