  1. I really like spyder.  If you get a heavy one it will work wonders until those rare times when its hot out.

  2. a puffy jacket from the north face or columbia would be good. Board wear companies (ripzone firefly spyder) they make thin jackets for boarders (Dont buy them)

  3. Almost any of the major brands are good quality jackets, get one in the style and color you like at the price you're willing to pay.  Add an under layer of a loose knit sweater, and add a vest over it.  If you are still cold with this arrangement, use a down filled vest with a hand warmer in the chest area pocket of the vest.  This should keep you warm down to about 18 F. Any colder than that and it's hot chocolate time until the sun comes out and the wind dies down.

  4. north face, patagonia, and and colombia are all very good jackets for hard core cold weather. patagonia is used by ski patrolers who have to ski in any kind of weather so i would suggest that.

  5. Spyder

    Columbia

    North Face

    Hard Gear

those are all pretty nice brands of jackets.

Ive had all of them in the past and i tend to get cold easy but stay warm in these.

When looking make sure you get something thats water proof too!

    goodluck.
