  1. Technics was the best i had, but no longer knowen as technics now. Its knowen as Panasonic.

Second best Pioneer. Still have a SX-1980 Receiver still pounds like the day she was bought. 270 watts RMS per Channel, well designed and weights a ton. 78.00 lbs to be exact

  2. Bose. Sony. Fisher. Yamaha. Custom design and install... it depends on your budget and what you want from the system.

  3. YAMAHA is the greatest in my opinion, others are louder or bigger or smaller but YAMAHA has built GREAT systems small to large for many years. Right now I'm listening to a pair of NS-1000's that are 20 years old and still fetch thousands of dollars each when they come up for sale (rarely!)

    A smaller pair of NS-10M's ($325.00/pr when new) routinely sell for $750.00 to $1,750.00 currently> see audio_pro_former on E-Bay.

Not that a $250.00 to $500.00 dollar system is going to blow away a killer club system. but it will sound great compared to

some of the other brands I just saw mentioned, and last a decade or two easy.

And they are some of the most accurate speaker systems on the market > so if you want to know what Pink Floyd really is supposed to sound like > it 'aint little cube speakers!

Remember "BOSE BLOWS" or as Billy Joel said "You do'nt hear those sounds from a 3 inch speaker!"

Why settle for good when you can have GREAT sound?
