What is a good brand for long-distance running shoes?

Preferably something I can get through eastbay, or if you know of a really good site it would be wonderful if you mentioned it! (Women's)

If i where you i would get adidas supernovas

But thats just me because that all i wear since adidas never hurt me or anything they're comfy and nice to run in.

But i heard Asics is a good shoe but ive never had those before.

In that order, but again you have to understand what type of feet you have and are you a pronator or udnerpronator, so don't go by what brand is the best, but go by what feels the most comfortable with the most support for your.

im in cross country and i wear Asics and they seem good

Very good running shoes are Asics or Saucony.  Good shoes are New Balance or Brooks.  Avoid nike shox.  Umm eastbay is a very good site, but if you make it out to a store like d**k's, Sports Authority, Finish Line, Olympia Sports, then do that so you can try on teh show and find out wats good for you.

I would get Asics. Durable in tough conditions and very comfortable.
