Question:

What is a good brand of 6 point/hexagon socket sets?

my dad mentioned one that costs about £80 for 13 pcs and i want to get some for his birthday but i have no idea what is a good brand!

please help!

  1. Snap-On, Craftsman, etc.  There is a difference between those that professionals use and "shade tree mechanics" use.  The ones professionals use are heaver duty and generally last for life.  Most are also guaranteed for life where you do not even need a receipt to exchange.  The other junk is made cheaply and the poor fitting sockets will often damage the bolts while trying to take them off.


  2. Craftsman and snap on are my fav's but depends on what you  want to spend.  Proto, SK and many other brands out there.
