What is a good camera to use for model photoshoots?

MY fiance is working on getting into modeling and i want to help in any way. So i was curious about good cameras that photographers use in model shoots.

It varies from photographer to photographer and where the image is expected to go.  You'll probably be fine getting a digital SLR camera like the Nikon D60 or Canon Digital Rebel XSi.  I take it you want to learn photography.  The cameras (35mm format and medium format typically, both film and digital) that photographers use in fashion and glamor shoots (as well as their lighting equipment and backdrops) are very expensive.  Plus they should have lots of knowledge which comes from education (schooling, books, workshops, etc) and experience.

    If you want to help her in any way, you can start off by being supportive.  (It sounds like you already are.)  Buying a camera to take pictures of her might actually be more of a hindrance (unless you've got the skills and other equipment to make them good) for her.  She should start off by hiring a professional photographer to take her photos.  I'm not saying don't buy a camera, I'm just saying don't buy a camera with the intent to use those as the photos she shows when looking for modeling jobs.
