What is a good car....?

Question

I'm 17 and recently got my permit and i am planning on buying my own car but i don't know what to get. i don't want new car, i want a used car. with great mileage. Any type of car will do. my question is what type of car is a good for a 17 year old girl that is cheap. P.S: i live in NYC(Manhattan) but is willing to get a car from the other boroughs (queens, bk, Bronx or Staten island or Manhattan)

I'm 16 and my first car is a 2000 cavalier.  30mpg and its quite fun to drive (2 door)  and I only paid 4000 for it.

A Pontiac Vibe. They started making them in 2003. I have an 04,and get excellent mileage & they look nice.
