what is a good car to buy for a new driver?

well that depends on how much you wanna spend.  Its always good to give a kid a piece of junk for a first car..but if safety is more of a concern maybe a volvo.  I kinda like honda cr-v's they look to be good all around vehicles and probably fine for a new driver.  Kid or adult.

what ever you do: DONT ASK THE KID WHAT HE OR SHE WANTS!

get an old beater car that was own by like an old lady or some car that aint worth much such as an old buick. I would suggest a lesabre (and without a doubt they complain that it is a grandma car. but  they have incredible engines that LAST! they are comforable, and get 30 MPG on the highway prvided they are not a lead foot! also help ease the "AWE MAN piece of c**p statement by buying spending a couple hundred more on a nice stereo theyll thank you for it later.
