What is a good cardio alternative for running?

i hate running but i know i need cardio in my workouts? what are some alternatives?

  1. bicycling, swimming, hard athletic activity (basketball, football, soccer- which all involve running so you might be s******g the pooch there).


  2. swimming is great since it works out every part of your body. Also jump rope is a great activity other than running. It also worked out the entire body.

  3. Cycling and Swimming are, as previously stated, very good alternatives. Another would be Yoga. I prefer Hatha Yoga because it's more relaxed and focuses on deep breathing and is partially meditative. Stretches out and works out the muscles and gives your heart a good workout, also.

  5. what about the elliptical machine (stairstepper)...man  that is the best form of cardio i think...in 20 minutes on the elliptical you can burn 300-400 calories and your knees don't take the pain and punishment
