What is a good cat name for a black cat?

i just got a little kitten from the pound last week and i dont know what to call her...she is all black with green eyes... thanks

My cat is all black with green eyes too.  His name is Ace, but he is a boy.  I like the name Jade for her eyes or Jada.  Good luck, I am sure you will find a name that suits her.

I personally like giving pets names from history, literature, or mythology.  I have a black female kitten named Desdemona, after the character from Othello.  We call her Desi, though.

It's typical for a black cat but I've always loved the name Salem for them. Or perhaps Nightshade, Sahar (Hebrew for Moon), or Lelia (means Night or dark haired beauty)

I would go with something ironic (my overweight cat's name is Tinker Bell)...perhaps Ivory.

Or you could go with Ivy (since she has green eyes) or Shadow.

...or, I see you're a raiders fan...how about Raider?
