  1. Are there any flowers or candy you like that are in those colors?  When I wanted to do my niece's sweet 16, I wanted to do a "sweet" sweet 16 with a candy them.  Maybe you can take a clear vase and fill it with green and black m&ms being you can make them any color you want now at their website and you put that it's your sweet 16 on them being you can personalize them.

You can also put a clear vase and your favorite flowers in them or ask the florist what they can do with those colors.

What about glow sticks?  Go to Orientaltrading.com and check out the glow sticks, they usually have tons of things like that and you can put a clear vase with black marbles on the bottom of the vase and then the glow sticks embedded in the marbles already glowing at each table.  Maybe even find something that's black and wiry to put in between each glow stick.

You can also buy some battery operated lights and put them in a clear vase or container and put some black and green stones, like you get in the craft stores in the container and then the lights can light them up from within the container. Usually craft stores sell the bags of those glass colored stones and you can pile them one vase can have black and another can have green and then each of them have a strand of the lights and the lights will illuminate the vase with the stones in it.

You could also put the m&ms in the vases/containers and imbed the glow sticks in them so that the candy is holding up the glow sticks.

What about taking a clear vase, putting water in it and then putting the black and green stones it it, and some black and green glitter.  I know it's not glowing.

What about fish?  I know it sounds odd, but what about a little fishbowl with black and green stones at the bottom and a little black fish floating in the bowl.  Of course he has to be fed and you can have someone at the table win the bowl at the end of the night, like whoever has the glow stick taped to the bottom of their chair at the end of the night wins the fish, or whoever has a certain number, etc.  Of course, make sure you get one too, you're the birthday girl!

You could also take battery operated light strands and lay them down on the table on tape them around the edges of the table this way you still have the glowing look that you want, if you don't get it in the centerpiece.  You can check Home Depot or craft stores or search online for battery operated lights, even if they're not in a strand and they're separate, you can space them apart and still get the glow you're looking for.  You can put them lying on the table or around the edges of the table for the guests and where the food and if you're having music where that will be.

For the centerpieces again, you can also do black vases with green flowers or put the glow sticks in black vases.  I like the clear because it gives you the chance to decorate with the stones and see what's inside and if you do the lights the light with reflect off the stones and clear glass.

This is all I can think of, Happy Birthday and I hope you have a GREAT party!

  2. Dollar Tree (or your local $1 store) have glowsticks (and necklaces) for $1, and you could get the green ones.  Put the necklace around the base of your cake... or stick the sticks into a basket (with styrofoam in the bottom) and some bright fake flowers.....You could use the bracelets to wrap around napkins.    Stores like Hobby Lobby have their bright summer patio things out now - there were alot of really cute things in bright green.  You could get some shiny tin buckets & spray paint them black; and stick bright neon green flowers or pinwheels into them.   I saw a big aluminum oval bucket at Kroger yesterday, and you could spray paint it black; fill with ice and put your cokes, sodas into it.....  You can get "glow in the dark" paint at craft stores or Home Depot too
