I'm in the mood for tuna fish but I don't want mayo in it. Any good recipes? I don't want hot dishes. Thanks.

  1. Cannellini beans and oil-packed tuna with tomatoes, onions and parsley with a little olive oil and wine vinegar.  YUM!

  2. well what bout hamburger helper.

  3. You can make a great tuna salad with some kind of vinaigrette.  Either make your favorite or use bottled.   Italian or Greek dressings work well.  Add some sliced celery, onion, maybe some diced red or green bell pepper, and some fresh or dried herbs.  Don't use too much dressing or it will be almost like soup!  Use a bit at a time until it's the consistency that you want.  I like this salad on crackers or in pita, but it's good on any bread.  Good luck! :)

  4. Nicoise Salad - it's a composed salad consisting of tuna, green beans, potatoes, bell peppers (sometimes), tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, olives (preferably nicoise olives) and anchovies if you are into them. Use a nice vinaigrette and you're set.

I also make your basic tuna salad but use mustard and/or a creamy salad dressing instead of mayo to make it wet.

  5. You can always just moisten it with any vinaigrette dressing.  You can also add chopped veggies of pretty much any variety.

  6. Tuna, white beans, balsamic vinegar and parsley - bit of salt and pepper.  Very good and low in calories.

You could also add green onion for a kick.
