What is a good color to paint my room?

Question

My room is every color(the decor), but alot of my c**p is pink (which i dispise)... and no, i don't want any shade of pink. I was thinking yellow, but i'm unsure, with how that might blind me to death during the day, but i love yellow and i'm always happy, it compliments my mood almost a hundred percent of the time. And i want the color to look great with the lighting. I just don't know? Help me, thanks youz! :D

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think a color called "compatible cream" (# 6387) would work great for you. It's in the yellow family, but not blindingly bright.
