We will be staying in France for a month and will have to charge many purchases. Our credit cards charge 2-3% over the $ conversion. Has anyone heardof/used a card without the conversion fee? We have good credit so we could get any card.

  1. The 2 - 3 % is not a charge connected to the card, but to the agios that you would pay anyway in a classical exchange operation - Conversions are not philantropic operations .....

Otherwise good cards in France are Visa - n°1 and much less, American Express

  2. There are a variety of factors that affect the cost of doing credit card transactions. I could exzplain them all but suffice to say that  I have concluded that the best card to use is the Capitol One Visa. This is the only card I use when in Paris.

  3. I am no gonna say I am one hundred sure about it.Besides it really depends on the personal feelings.SO it would better for you to find yourself. Here is a good resource.http://creditcard.expertips.info/card-co...
