What is a good date for a shower?

Two of my friends want to throw a shower for my little man but they asked me to set the date and get back to them. This is my first and the first in my family so I need a little guidance-I am due Jan 12, when should I plan the shower?

I'm pregnant with my first. I will be 30 weeks tomorrow and my little girl is measuring at 31 weeks currently. My baby shower is this next Sunday so I'll be 30 1/2 weeks for it. So, that's about 2 months before my baby is due. So, I'd say sometime in November probably before Thanksgiving, so that way you have your shower before the holiday season gets into full swing.

My friend had her first in Nov. 08 and we had her shower for her in mid September.

I am due November 28th and one of my showers is September 28th and the other is October 4th.  So, they are just at 2 months before my due date.  I would say that 2 months ahead is a good time for anyone.  I would say the first of November for you...this will be before Thanksgiving and before the Christmas season starts.  It would be easier on everyone's schedule and pocket books!  :0)

end of november.. christmas will be coming.. people will be shopping and celebrating in december (xmas parties and what not). goodluck and have fun!!
