What is a good daycare in Windsor Ontario?

Hi there,

I'm a daycare teacher myself and I worked in a few daycares, it really depends what you want out of a daycare. While working in  those daycares I've heard bad stories about ABC daycare and Sundowners. I've heard that sometimes they lie about the meals that the children eat, for example they have a weekly menu's posted up but they don't usually follow it and sometimes just give water instead of juice and no vegetables and things like that.

One of the parents told me that their 2 yr old would always be hungry going home and always unhappy, so the parent showed up a few times and noticed that the teachers didn't really pay much attention to that child.

City of Windsor childcares are really good, I've done my placements in 2 of those. I've also done Montessori and thats really good. I mean its a little more expensive but its all about education. There are children at the Montessori who are 3 1/2 and can read, and then theres some who are 4 and can do simple math problems, and write their name and simple words. Compared to some daycares where they don't even know their colors and can't count to 10.

My suggestions are

St.Clair College (Worked there)

Montessori Schools

City of Windsor daycares (theres one on glengarry, jefferson..)

maybe try CAW?
