  1. i would go with a remington 30/30 or maybe a 30/06

  2. go with the mossburg i have 1 and i love it set up it only cost me 500 thats changing sites trigger pull and a few other things

  3. Tarhunt.... if you never heard of it, it comes out of PA

You can give then any gun and they're do what you want done, they even will sight in your gun if you would like

    http://www.tarhunt.com/tarhunt/ecatalog/...

this is were i got my slug gun from and i've never ever had a problem w/ it

  4. Remington 870 express (combo) 12 gauge.

    Proven over and over again.

12 gauge pump that comes with two barrels. Field barrel with changable s***w in chokes ( Rem choke system) and a deerslayer barrel for slugs. Also excepts magnum 3" shells and functions flawlessly even with a mix of different length shells.

You just can't beat it, and the price is great too.

Lots, and lots of accessories for this platform. Easy to change cofiguration, with no gunsmithing needed. You can go from an upland bird hunting configuration to slug gun to tactical shot gun and back ...all in about 5 minutes. Seriously.

  5. i don't believe you.

buy a mossberg or remington pump action, then get a rifled barrel for it. you'll still have half a "grand" or so to buy slugs with.

  6. Mossberg 500 makes a great slug gun that is ported, 12 ga and just as good of a gun, if not better, at $275

  7. I got this shotgun

(mossberg 500 and that stock puts you in a vary comfortable shooting position)

And I also have a 24" rifled barrel with a 2.5X - 20mm shotgun scope (6" eye relief).  It's a great handling shotgun and is capable of taking down deer at 150 yards with the right sabot. The total cost was way under a "$ grand $"

  8. Mossberg Brand is a great quality, smooth action, rugged, and dependable, reasonably priced Pump Shotgun.* Check em out.*

  9. Like many others here im going to vouche for the mossberg 500. Cant beat the price and ruggedness of that shotgun. I have two of them and i also purchased the slugster barrel that they make. Very simple and effective, and you can take it apart with hardly any tools on hand, and the barrels are very simple to change out so you can go from bird hunting to slug throwing deer killer in a matter of seconds.
