Question:

What is a good defense for someone who gives you a sleeper?

A sleeper is when somebody comes from behind and puts their arm around your neck and strangles you with his arm.

I need something effective but something that won't hurt the guy so no stick your thumb into his eye c**p ok.

  1. if someone really wanted to put u in a sleeper you dont actually have much time to react my instuctor did it to me to demonstrate one night woke up a day later. so if he isnt doing it properly you have no problem have u tried to lean forward(bow) lift him off his feet then just turn a bit and drop on him. or stomp on his foot or just pinch his inner thigh(its really sensetive and most people fell really uncomfortable and let go.


  2. My first question would be: Why do you not want to hurt him?

    A good solution is:

    Drop your weight by stepping off to your right as you grab the attackers arm with your right hand and pull down to help loosen your airway.

    Left back elbow to the sternum

    From there, left hammer fist to the groin

    You can control the imapct of the groin shot to make them let go.

  7. standing:

    turn in to him, but first grab the hand on your head with both hands and break his grip. from there you're pretty much in hip throw position.

    OR

    step with one of your feet behind both of his, then take him down in any instinctual way. from there either you're on him, and you've won, or he has your back, in which case you transition to the ground escape which it pretty simple:

    if ur face down in rear mount and he's still choking you, roll to your back and then bridge up toward the ceiling and turn face to face.  

  8. if you know its coming do a sleeper to your self it block the other guy from putting one on you thats if your on your knees but it might work if your standing

  9. use your hand grab the groin then elbow the rib cage and then knee the groin
