What is a good dial-up service?

My aunt wants to get internet and she doesn't want America Online since it costs to much. (and she had aol for about 3 months I think?)

or is there an internet service provider that is not dial up that cost less than 20 bucks a month?

  1. Why is it she wants dial-up?

    If she's paying for a second phone line for dial-up as well, it's honestly not worth it... because for the price of dialup + phone line you might as well get broadband... DSL if anything, if you still want to use the phone wires.

    Dial-Up is remarkable and drastically slow compared to any broadband service. Though if you still think Dial-Up is right for her... there's NetZero dial-up which is Nationwide in the US.  There are others.. but it'd really help to know around where she lives in order to determin availability. Other services include Eartlink and PeoplePC... all of them are around $10-$15 I think.

    As for any non-dial-up under $20... again, knowing the area would help... but off the top of my head I think Verizon has lower speed Broadband options for under $20 in some areas.
