I'm 15 years old, 5'3 3/4" tall, about 104 lbs. and I play tennis. This year I'll be entering in tournaments to qualify for the junior tour and I keep hearing about tennis players going on a diet or they regulate their eating habits. My question is, based on the info I gave you, what should I eat? I know the whole bananas thing, but what should I include in my diet?

Thanks!

  1. Eat a balanced diet of fruits and vegetables and avoid junk foods for a while. Don't be surprised if you are hungry all the time.. you are burning up a lot of calories and your body needs food! Don't skip meals, especially breakfast, which is the most important meal of the day. Drink lots of water too! Hope I helped! :)

  2. I think that you should just eat healthy foods like fruits, and vegetables, and for drinks either iced tea or water. for breakfast either cereal or eggs, for lunch a fruit salad, for dinner a peice of fish with vegetables, and for maybe a snack at night i would say some more fruit.

  3. you should get plenty of protein because our bodies need protein to maintain our cells, tissues and organs. and calcium to make you strong.  if you don't eat meat like me, fish is an excellent source of protein and it tastes good. dairy is great for calcium.  keep eating fruits and veggies to stay healthy too. Bad carbs are foods that have been processed, and that can make you gain some serious weight.  its better to stay with unprocessed foods. good carbs keep your blood sugar and insulin levels from rising and falling too quickly, helping you get full quicker and feel fuller longer. Good sources of carbs include whole grains, beans, fruits, and vegetables, which also offer lots of additional health benefits, including heart disease and cancer prevention. hope i helped!
