  1. If you're a beginner, go with a Star Beast. It's a good disc for forehand and backhand drives. You're going to want to go lighter for forehand (165-170 grams). Heavier if you decide to throw backhand (170-175 g).

    I also throw a Champion Valkryie (167 g) forehand and it flies very straight. So it's also a very good disc to use. Stay away from overstable discs until you have a good feel for driving forehand.

    I just switched to backhand this year and this is what I learned from my experience. I still throw forehand about 20% of the time.


  2. I like the Innova Star Wraith (163-164 grams) Or The Innova Tl or Teebird Long in any weight that suites you.
