A cast size of about 18 and a play that doesn't have too many props! so a simple one would be great. Thanks

  1. The rights to perform a Disney play are very expensive. It would be a better idea to perform a different play. Here are some suggestions I found for you:

The Truth About George by Liz Stockley & Chris Wilcock

For years the townspeople have been regularly sending seven maidens to be sacrificed to the dragon on the mountain above their homes. Legend has it that there will be dire consequences if they don't. Maidens, however, are becoming much more assertive these days and this year's chosen girls decide it is time things were changed. Faced with this problem the Mayor and citizens send for Young George, the dragon-slayer's grandson, in the hope that dragon killing is a hereditary skill. But the George they have summoned does not turn out to be all they had expected - and neither does the dragon. http://www.stageplays.com/browse-no-fram...

Captain Bree & Her Lady Pirates by Martin A. Follose & Bill Francoeur

Shiver your timbers with this swashbuckling musical comedy! Captain Bree and her lady pirates demand gold in exchange for the lives of the pretentious Madam Prescot; her nephew Samuel, who is masquerading as a girl to avoid becoming shark bait; and her niece Julia, bursting with desire to join the lady pirates—much to her aunt’s dismay! http://www.pioneerdrama.com/searchdetail...

Cinderella's Glass Slipper by Vera Morris & Bill Francoeur

The story is age old, but you'll meet playful new characters in this fresh adaptation: a brave mouse, a hesitant cat and the amazing Pumpkinhead, who changes into a coach! With amazing (yet simple!) stage magic to send our heroine off to the palace ball, only to lose her glass slipper as she tries to run out before the clock strikes midnight. A flexible cast of 18-20 (5M, 13 to 15F), extras and optional chorus, easy doubling this delightful large cast musical will charm audiences of all ages. http://www.pioneerdrama.com/searchdetail...

Agatha Rex Adapted by Lindsay Price from Antigone by Sophocles

"He gets an essay and I get banished from school property?"

Agatha is a girl who stands up for her beliefs, regardless of the consequences. As student council president at Thebes High, she vigorously defends a student who is unfairly punished. Based on her actions, she could be expelled and lose an important scholarship. Set in a modern-day high school, the play translates the original Greek chorus into a fantastic ensemble opportunity. http://www.theatrefolk.com/products/play...

Alice Adapted by Lindsay Price from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

A one-act adaptation of the famous novel by Lewis Carroll. Alice follows the white rabbit down the rabbit hole into Wonderland, where she meets a cornucopia of strange creatures. A caterpillar gives advice, the Mad Hatter and March Hare are always at tea time, and the Queen of Hearts continually cries, "Off with her head!" The Cheshire Cat says everyone in Wonderland is mad, and therefore Alice must be too. Has Alice lost her head? Only the Cheshire Cat knows for sure. http://www.theatrefolk.com/products/play...
