What is a good drink for an adult male?

I have a date tonight (first time in years) and I know we are going to drink, and I don't think my standard red bull and vodka is going to make a good first impression, so what is a good drink for a male that will be "adult"? I was told makers mart(sp) but I don't think I can do scotch. thanks in advance

If you're going to drink to just have a drink have a beer. It's very unassuming. Or a 1 mixer cocktail with whisky... like seven seven (Seagrams Seven and Seven Up) or bourbon and soda (Maker's Mark or Beam). The whisky is more masculine than vodka or gin. And FYI... Maker's is a bourbon. If not, vodka/gin and tonic is respectable (but it seems like a drink for a hot summer afternoon).

If you're going to drink to drink, have something on the rocks, like a Johnny Walker Black or Maker's Mark. If you don't like whisky, get a Grey Goose on the rocks with a twist.

well the first drink i ever had was budwiser and I LOVE IT!!! go with that it is casual and not too strong like some alcohol or if your up to it try guiness with coke, now that's a drink!!!!!!!!

Shouldn't you worry about what is a good drink for you date...wine? Cocktail. Dont be cheap...as for yourself, drink wisely; dont want to give the impression that you are either a prude with drink, nor a guy who does not know where to draw the line...Go knock her out Tiger.

#1 --  Classic Gin and Tonic, its a light drink but its classy,

or Crown Royal with Cranbury juice, crown is sofisticated and the cranbury juice is playful but ssmooths out the whickey (not that crown needs it)

try to stay away from drinks that you would drink at a party.

Most any drink is fine. Just avoid those, "I am here to get shite-faced," drinks.

Is money an issue? Along with those alcohols listed consider areal beer. Something like Chimay from Belgium. (NOT STELLA that is trash) Or ask for an IPA or oak-aged beer. Yes some good beers are oak aged. Surprise!

If you bow to corporate magazine & television ideas then you might need a beer that is common among the college kids in your area.
