I have 6 Peking ducks. They drink a lot. Only problem is their drinking container stinks! There is a latch on it but when i latch it no water comes out. BUT... when i dont latch it, it overflows and the water gets all over their house. What king of container should i get?? ( that can hold a lot of water )

  1. really you should have the ducks water OUTSIDE . .

ideally a pond for them =). . . ducks do not need water at night so there is no need for a drinker in the house

(except if they have to be kept in for a day or more)

basically something which you could use could be as simple as a cat litter tray like this . .. . .http://www.pet-bliss.com/acatalog/CatLit...

Or . . those kids sand pit shell things work really well

    (My geese love them)

    like this one http://images.trademe.co.nz/photoserver/...

    they hold lots of water

But put a brick in the container and on the outside so they can get IN and OUT.

But ducks as you have found out can be quite messy

and their water will need changing at least once  a day if not more.

  2. old propane tanks

  3. Ducks are very messy drinkers... It's the nature of waterfowl.

Can you move their water container to an outside run?
