NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN - won many accademy awards, including best picture

GLADIATOR - fairly graphic, but the director was AMAZING won 5 accademy awards, including best picture

SAVING PRIVATE RYAN - an amazing story about a squad in WWII, and is really a great redemption story, and won 5 accademy awards

SHOOTER - Despite its name, it's not a HUGE shoot-em-up, bang-em-up movie, but about a marine sniper living in exile is coaxed back into action after learning of a plot to kill the president. Ultimately double-crossed and framed for the attempt, he goes on the run to track the real killer and find out who exactly set him up, and why.

Do you mean DVD movie or DVD player?

If movie, what critieria apply?  Demo material quality? Comedy? Drama?

If a player, what is important to you? Price? Features? Progressive scan? Up-Conversion to pseudo HD?

That said, almost any recent movie that appeals to you will look and sound good.

I suggest a progressive scan player by Pioneer, Phillips, Sony or other name brand. You shouldn't need to spend more than $75 (and might find one for $40).
