What is a good easy recipe for whipped cream frosting?

I am wanting to make whipped vanilla frosting for a cake I am baking. But all the recipes I am looking at are really difficult, does anyone know of anything really simple and really delicious? Thanks!

  1. Get 2 c. heavy whpping cream and beat it with about 1/2 pkg dry vanilla pudding mix! ... Beat in a chilled bowl until very stiff peaks... VOILA! ... You can use any pudding or jello mix:)


  2. STABILIZED WHIPPED CREAM ICING

    1 tsp. unflavored gelatin

    4 tsp. cold water

    1 c. heavy whipping cream (at least 24 hours old and very cold)

    1/4 c. confectioners' sugar

    1/2 tsp. clear vanilla extract

    Combine gelatin and cold water in small saucepan. Let stand until thick. Place over low heat, stirring constantly just until gelatin dissolves. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Whip cream, sugar and vanilla until slightly thickened. While beating slowly, gradually add gelatin to whipped cream mixture. Whip at high speed until stiff.

    Yield: 2 cups

    Cakes iced with whipped cream must be kept refrigerated. (This is the commercial recipe used by bakeries).

  3. Whipped Cream:

    1 cup (236 ml) heavy whipping cream that is ultra pasteurized

    1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

    1 tablespoon (14 grams) granulated white sugar

    whip to soft peaks
