What is a good excuse for me to switch teachers?

Reflecting on my grades, Having classes like geometry (I'm in 8th grade) at the end of the day makes it harder for me to concentrate. Since there are only 2 geometry classes this year (Geometry is an advance class), I would like to switch to the 1st period class. How do I convince my councilor I really do need to switch classes?

  1. Tell your counselor that because its an advanced class, you would do much better and concentrate more if you have it right away instead of at the end of the day when your tired.

  2. JUST say its too hard thats what i did in high school

  3. just tell your counselor that its too hard for you to concentrate at the end of the day so an easier class would be better

  4. As simple as this may sound, I think honesty is the best policy.  As someone who obviously is a good student and wants to do well in her classes, you should say you want to give geometry your full attention and that's easier for you to day earlier in the day when you are fresh.  I would hope your counselor would understand and help you be the best most effective student you can be by helping you switch from the later class to the earlier one.  Good luck!

  5. Just ask.

  6. Ask your counsellor yourself first. If it doesn't happen right away, get your parents to ask and it will be done immediately.

  7. It depends on your counselors attitude. Some people get so caught up in the downsides of their jobs they tend to get tunnel vision and forget what's really important in what their doing. If your counselor has the right attitude, she will comply for the simple fact that it will help you in your studies. That should be enough. There aren't enough kids interested in their educations. Kudos to you.
