Ear infection.  Being in water is absolutely a no-no with an ear infection.

I would say the best excuse is diarrhea. Can't go wrong with a bad case of the $hitz. Ear infections do not usually clear up from day to the next, so this excuse will not work if you have to present yourself at practice the next day. Good luck!!

you had a bladder infection...  being in the water would make you have to pee and you didn't want to pee in the pool.... :)
